Ski Mask the Slump God drops his debut album “STOKELEY” and it definitely deserves a listen. For those who don’t know, Ski Mask is Florida rapper who is known for his Busta Rhymes rap-like flow and his fast, playful lyrics. This is proven on his two hits “Catch Me Outside” and “BabyWipe” where he references popular animes and movies such as “Naruto” and “Fantastic Four” while keeping his unique & quick flow.
The 13-track “STOKELEY” not only shows off Ski Mask’s rap flow, but it also introduces the audience to a new type of versatility never seen from this rapper. On the first song, “So High” he’s found singing as a brand new way to introduce the audience, while on “Foot Fungus” his flow references Snoop Dogg’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot.” He also goes back to his rockstar screaming vocals on “Nuketown (feat. Juice WRLD)” which is similar to Florida rapper XXXTentacion’s style. This is no surprise considering that the two rappers were also very close friends growing up. It’s possible that after the passing of his best friend, Ski Mask gave his fans this new flow similar to XXXTentacion’s.
